On-Campus: Thoughts on Day One

The New Testament is my course of study. This week I will go in the book of Acts through Revelation in less than five days. The most exciting part of this class is the fact that we have our Bibles open throughout. Sure, we discuss authorship, dating, structure, themes, etc. — but we focus on what the Bible says and what it means.

As important as it is to know the background information and current scholarship on the Bible, it is much more important to know what the Bible has to say about itself. There's no point in learning about the Bible if we never learn the Bible. Instead of looking at a summary, try looking at the pages of Scripture. You'll be glad you did. And you may even get a seminary education that's worth having. Even without the seminary.
